Dear Brothers,

I apologize that it has taken a few weeks for me to post a letter, but the brothers have been busy at the White House. We have been putting a lot of work into the house to prepare for rush and make improvements. Before the semester started, we painted the entire 2nd and 3rd floors, the back stairwell, the kitchen, and the women’s bathroom. The esthetic enhancement was incredible. While this improved the look of the inside of the house, we have also been working on the landscaping. We have weeded and mulched the landscape and it gives the house a more finished look. The first few weeks have been home games, but with a few upcoming away games, we will look forward to the next few projects to come.

On Labor Day we took our annual canoe trip down the Tippecanoe River. It turned out to be a beautiful day and great bonding experience to welcome the newly initiated brothers into the house. In the next couple of weekends, we are hoping to have a pledge and brother camping trip to show them the importance and benefits of brotherhood. We have pinned seven young men this fall for our Alpha Gamma pledge class. Under the tutelage of Brother Porras, we feel that these postulants will make great Crows and will lead the Alpha Phi chapter into the future.

I would like to remind all of you that Homecoming is on October 25th against Minnesota. We hope to see all of you back at the Crow house. We are preparing and expecting a large turnout for the weekend. Safe travels to all and you will hear from me again soon.
